Christmas is only 9 weeks away. Yep. I just went there. But it really is my favorite time of year! Especially now that I have kids. Big M is 4 and is right into the whole Santa thing, so we are having a blast with that! Little M will only be 5 months old, so she won't know what's going on, but will be fun for us none the less. We really feel lucky to have our families and each other!
We all know that not everyone is as fortunate as we are. A report by the Canadian Observatory on Homelessness and the Canadian Alliance to End Homelessness estimates that 235,000 individuals, youth and families experience homelessness per year. You can read more on that here. So, when Sonya of Blackstone Designs asked if I would like to participate in a Crochet Mitten Drive, I jumped at the chance to help in what little way I can. I designed a pattern that will be free for you to use to make and donate mittens to whichever cause is close to your heart this season.
