Heather and Rebecca are the incredibly creative team behind Dear Ewe. These friends from Stoke-on-Trent discovered a crafty need, joined forces, and founded their company in May 2018. A short while later Heather contacted me and asked if she could send me some photo prop cards to try out from their shop. It didn’t take long before a love affair began.
Although all products were provided by Dear Ewe, all thoughts and opinions are mine alone.
Heather and Rebecca have created so many original pieces of artwork for you to use and enjoy, that I really can’t list them all here. From ceramics and textiles, to prints and patterns, there is something for every crafty person I know. Today, I will be sharing my experiences with the Photo Prop Cards, Mug, and Project Bag.
Dear Ewe offers four different styles of two-sided Photo Prop Cards. Choose between Crochet Addict (shown), Crafters, Yarn Lovers, and Creative Folk. Want to see the other side of these cards? Click HERE. Each card is postcard size (4.13″ x 5.83″, or, 105 mm x 148 mm) and made of soft touch laminated cardstock. That means that there is no glare with these bad boys! Perfect for sharing on social media. I have been using these for a few months now, and love the added layer of whimsy they add to my photos.
Sigh. Coffee. You know how much I love it. And how often I drink it. It’s how I start my day and what keeps me chugging along. If you know me, you also know that I collect mugs. They make me so happy and I often celebrate a win by purchasing myself a new one!
I was sent the Triangle Chart Mug. Look at how cute it is!! There are 12 different designs to choose from; 4 in each category of Charts, Silhouettes, and Characters. You can buy the mugs individually, or as a set of 4. Although the Silhouette mugs have the print all the way around the mug, the other designs are only on one side. But no fret! The other side has the Dear Ewe logo on the inside, so there is something to enjoy from every angle.
[Psst!!! Ken, dearest husband of mine, if you are reading this, I would like the Crafty Little Ewe and Yarn Silhouette mugs for Christmas, pretty please!]
Each mug is made of fine bone china which makes them nice and lightweight. These mugs are smaller than the ones I normally buy. I found out the hard way that they only hold 380 mL of liquid (around 12.8 oz) when I set my Keurig to 12 oz of coffee and had it fill the cup straight to the top. Oops! Now I just make sure to set it to 10 oz and I am good to go. Dear Ewe recommends that you hand wash your mug, or use in the dishwasher on a gentle cycle. Now, I only read these care instructions today and have put my mug through the sanitize cycle on my dishwasher dozens of times over the past 2 months. Oops. Well, as you can see, it is just as gorgeous as the day I got it! You may want to be more careful than I am, but at least you know this is a very durable product!
Last up is my medium WIP Project Bag. Can you believe that this is the smallest bag they offer? It’s huge! Regardless of which graphic or size you choose, they are all hand-printed on 100% cotton and come with a drawstring closure. This is such a plus for me since I don’t have to worry about my yarn falling out of the top of a tote bag, or getting snagged in the zipper of a zip-up bag. These 30cm x 45cm bags (11.8″ x 17.7″) hold 7 skeins of 270 yard yarn comfortably for storage. Or, I can pack a 4 skein project along with notebook and notions bag for a road trip! In the photo below I have 4 skeins in the bottom of the bag and one partial skein sticking out the top. Rumour has it that personalized items are coming in 2019! Check out the sneak peek HERE.
I’m thinking that my Westie approves too! Rigby loves to snuggle up to my projects. ❤️ If she does get her dirty little paws on my bag, it’s fine to stick these in a cold water wash and lay it flat to dry.
