The Alex Earwarmer Crochet Pattern is often used in our home. The weather up here fluctuates so much from October through April, that it’s nice to have an option that is somewhere between a full winter hat, and nothing at all! This pattern comes in Toddler, Child, and Adult sizes, with a button closure that makes it easy to work over all hairstyles.

The Alex Earwarmer Crochet Pattern was originally designed as part of the Leither Collection Subscription Box! You can use code SINCERELYPAM to get 10% off your first Leither Co purchase.
The Yarn
For this design I used Lion Brand Yarn ZZ Twist. If you haven’t tried a “Z” twist yarn before, here is why you might want to: “Z” twist allows the yarn to wrap correctly around a crocheter’s hook. This takes away some of the “split” that some yarn has since your hook isn’t working against the twist in regular yarn. This allows crocheters greater ease of use, tighter stitches and great stitch definition.
The Hook
Can we take a moment to appreciate how pretty this hand carved hook is by Leither Co? I have reviewed LEITHER HOOKS on the blog for more info! Please note, that although the handles are still hand carved, Leither Co now only offers aluminum hooks and this particular design is not currently available. Make sure to check out the rest of their selection to look for your new favorite hook!
