The Delphinium Summer Skirt crochet pattern was inspired by the color of this yarn. Check out the gorgeous, vibrant blue! There is something about the texture in the shell stitch, and the saturated blue that brought those beautiful flowers to mind.

Delphinium Summer Skirt Crochet Pattern
This pattern was was based off the Savory Shorts crochet pattern that I designed for the book My Crocheted Closet back in 2017. You can check out the photo below.
Normally a crocheted bottom would make me a little nervous, but because of the density of these stitches, nothing shows through! Here are some tips to keep in mind to help with modesty: either wear nude undergarments, or ones that match the color of the yarn you chose. This is especially important if you choose to work with a lighter color yarn.
THE YARN
Once again, a HUGE shoutout to my friends over at WeCrochet for providing the yarn to make the Delphinium Summer Skirt crochet pattern!
FREE SHIPPING to US on orders of $35+, and to Canada on orders of $75+
For this design I used CotLin yarn in the color Nightfall. This yarn is available at WeCrochet and comes in 44 different colors! This 70% Tanguis Cotton, 30% Linen blend is a DK weight yarn, making it perfect for summer garments since it is very durable, extremely soft, and machine washable.

Tie: Chain a long rope, approximately 3 times the width of your skirt, slst in 2nd ch from hook and across, fasten off. OR, using a Lucet Fork (like the one in the photo), create an i-cord 3 times the width of your skirt.
Weave the Ties in and out of the ch 1 spaces on the Band, starting at the Front to ensure the Ties come out centered on the skirt. Use the photo below for inspiration.
Attach a button to the Band of the skirt so that the Button Hole lines up properly.
