The Marielle Slouch crochet pattern was designed for the Scarf of the Month Club. I know it’s a little hot to be thinking of head wear, but the lacey stitch pattern means this one won’t need to wait until the dead of winter to be worn!

Scarf (and Hat!) of the Month Club
I am so happy to announce that I have been invited to participate in the annual Scarf of the Month Club. Each year Rhondda from Oombawka Design, and Amy from The Stitchin’ Mommy host this event. Make sure to also get Rhondda’s Basic Sun Hat, and Amy’s Rainbow Love Hat crochet pattern! You can also read this Intro Post for more details, as well as find a list of all the previous designs.
Two things to note that are different this year!
Firstly, you will get to download each design for 24 hours only! So make sure to scroll down to the GIANT BLUE DOWNLOAD BUTTON above the pattern instructions!
Marielle Slouch crochet pattern available for free download until June 29th, 2020
Secondly, the week following the Scarf of the Month, each designer will also be releasing a co-ordinating Hat of the Month! Last week I shared the Marielle Lace Shawl crochet pattern with you and was really touched by how much you all liked it!
I’m really excited to share the Marielle Slouch crochet pattern with you! You can also check out last month’s hat design, the super cute Elmview Beanie.

The Design
This Marielle Slouch crochet pattern was written from the bottom band up. Just like the matching Shawl, this design features a gorgeous lace pattern!
The body of the pattern is a one row repeat. It couldn’t be easier to memorize! Before you know it you can zoom through a beanie in no time!

The Yarn
For the sample shown above, I used the same yarn as the adult Marielle Lace Shawl.
I used Loops and Threads Coastal Cotton in four different colors. This yarn was fun to use because the cotton makes it a great pick for summer, and the added acrylic keeps it nice and light.

Special Pattern Notes
This pattern is worked from the bottom band up.
Beginning chain 4 counts as a tr stitch throughout.
When following the instructions, the numbers in parenthesis are in numerical order according to size. Ex (toddler, child, adult).
Although I worked this design in 4 solid colors, this pattern is gradient/cake yarn friendly.
I changed colors whenever I ran out of yarn.
