How cute is this Autumn Leaf Cutlery Pouch crochet pattern? I can’t wait to bust these out at our next dinner party. These sweet little pouches are part of the A Crocheted Simplicity’s MMCAL (Mini-Mystery Crochet Along)! This is the second time I have designed for this event. The first time around I had designed My Favorite Tea Towel. I loved how the CAL was broken down into bite-sized parts that had you guessing what you were making right up until the last day!

The yarn I choose for this project was a few balls of Lion Brand Vanna’s Choice. You will want to use a cotton or acrylic for this project. Something that had hold up to washing.

Notes:
This pattern is worked in rounds, from the bottom up.
Beginning chains do not count as a stitch throughout.
When choosing colours for your project, using the photo above as a guide, Colour A will be Cream, Colour B will be Brown, and Colour C will be Green.
The entire pattern is worked in the BLO (back loops only). Joining with a slst is always worked in both loops.
You may carry your yarn during colour changes, or fasten off.
Tapestry Crochet
When working the different colours of the Pouch, the instructions will refer to them only as (A), (B), and (C) before the number of sts you need to work in that particular colour. For example, A2, B1, means to sc 2 sts in colour A, then sc 1 st in colour B. You may carry the colours behind one another when working the colour changes, or cut the yarn at each colour change and weave in ends. This is personal preference depending on how it affects tension. If colour changes are pulled too tightly, your project will pucker. See graph below for colour chart. When working with the chart, you will work bottom to top, right to left. CLICK HERE for tips on how to change colours mid-round.
