The Lake Life Pillow crochet pattern has me dreaming of lazy summer days at the cottage. Except, I don’t have a cottage. So instead, I choose to pretend I’m there by surrounding myself with Lake themed home decor!
This pillow is one of my favorites. It combines both tapestry crochet and home decor, along with a beachy, coastal vibe. This design is going to get a lot of use each summer in my home!

Lake Life Pillow Crochet Pattern Instructions
1: Ch 77, sc in 2nd chain from hook and across. Turn to work back along the remaining loops of the foundation chain, sc across, join to first sc. (152 sc now and throughout)
2-20: Ch1, working in the BLO for the rest of the pattern, sc around, join.
When working the different colors of the Lake Life Pillow, the instructions will refer to them only as (S) Sage and (W) White. The number after the (S) or (W) are the sts you need to work in that particular color. For example, (S) 10, (W) 4, means sc 10 sts in color Sage then sc 4 sts in color White. I carry the colors behind one another when working the color changes. However, you can cut the yarn at each color change and weave in the ends. This is personal preference depending on how it affects tension. If color changes are pulled too tightly, the Pillow will pucker. You can check out my Tapestry Crochet tutorial HERE.
A color chart of the graph you will be working on is in the ad-free pdf. You can purchse the Lake Life Pillow crochet pattern on Ravelry, Etsy, or LoveCrafts. The Pillow, and therefore the letters, are worked from the bottom up, and right to left for right handed crocheters.

FINISHING
To finish the Lake Life Pillow, you can either add a zipper using this easy tutorial HERE. If you prefer, you can close up your pillow using a simple basting st. Just weave a tapestry needle and yarn back and forth through the back loops of the remaining sts. Fasten off and weave in remaining ends.
