It’s here! It’s here! The Marielle Lace Tee adult size crochet pattern is now available and I couldn’t be more excited! This Tee is just like the child sizes in that it combines the fun and easy stitch pattern of the Marielle Lace Shawl, Marielle Lace Slouch, and Addy Lace Caridgan crochet patterns, along with the simplicty of two rectangle construction! We have been under a three week heat wave and I couldn’t have been more grateful to have something light and breezy to wear. This lacy design really does fit the bill when it comes to hot weather fashion.

THE YARN
Just like the child sizes, I chose Premier Cotton Fair for the adult sizes as well.
Cotton Fair is a 52%/48% cotton/acrylic blend yarn which I have used for my designs several times! The stitch definition is fantastic, the colours are beautiful and I find that the fabrics I make with it don’t lose their shape, even after washing.
- 24 colors
- 52% Cotton, 48% Acrylic.
- 3.5 oz/100 g, 317 yds/290m.
- #2 Fine Weight

Gauge Swatch Instructions
4”x4” = 7 (sc, ch1, sk1st) groups x 17 rows.
To make gauge:
Row 1: Ch21, sc in 2nd ch from hook, *ch2, sk1ch, sc in next ch, repeat from * across to last st, sc in last. (9 (sc, ch2, sk1st) groups)
Row 2-19: Ch1, turn, sc in first st, *ch2, sk1st, sc in next ch2 space, repeat from * across, sc in last. (9 (sc, ch2, sk1st) groups)
Measure the 7 (sc, ch2, sk1st) groups in the middle of your swatch.
Special Pattern Notes
This tee was designed with 2-4” of positive ease. For a more fitted top, make the next size down.
When following the stitch counts at the end of each round, the numbers are in chronological order by size, (XS, S, M, L, 1X, 2X, 3X, 4X, 5X). When only one stitch count is given, it is the same for all sizes.
All instructions within parentheses (…) are worked into the same stitch or space.
This garment is worked in two pieces and then joined at the shoulders and sides.
Sample was made in a size S.

Repeat for second Panel.
BLOCKING
I recommend blocking at this point. For a step-by-step tutorial, read this blog post.
FINISHING
To finish the Marielle Tee, you will sew the shoulder seams and the sides.
Using a tapestry needle and a length of yarn approximately 2.5x the length to be seamed, sew the two Panels together. I recommend THIS TUTORIAL for a couple different seaming options.
Each shoulder seam should be approximately (2”, 2.5”, 3”, 3.5”, 4”, 4.5”) long.
Each side seam should begin right above the Bottom Band, and continue up, leaving a (4.25”, 4.75”, 5”, 5.5”, 6”, 6.25”) armhole opening.
Fasten off and weave in all ends.
That’s it! If you like the Marielle Lace Tee adult size crochet pattern, make sure you come back for the Daphne Cocoon Cardigan which will be released later this week. Check it out below!
